Russian River Valley is one of the top Pinot Noir growing regions in the world. The valley’s proximity to the Pacific Ocean provides natural air conditioning with evening fog that wends up the river, spilling over its bank to spread fog across the surrounding vineyards. The fog cools the grapes after a hot summer’s day, which allows the grapes more time to ripen. Longer hang-time means deeper, more complex flavors, making this the perfect location to grow this beloved grape. We’re thrilled to be able to offer a Pinot that reflects the qualities that have made this region nirvana for Pinot lovers.

We believe that wine is for every generation. Hair of the Dog's wines are based on all aspects of the human preference. Who would you like to share your wine with? Where are you enjoying your glass? A short online quiz cannot determine this alone. We happily celebrate our wines for their quality, purity, and individuality. Our goal is to provide wines that suit a variety of palates, but also unique varietals that are not as common domestically. With Hair of the Dog, you can expect both natural and traditional, and can be enjoyed alone or with food. Approachable wines that enhance the joy of wine exploration [with or without your dog]!
